, have their press conference, general dempsey started talking -- someone from the press specifically asked about women in the special forces, and he talked a little bit about, you know, standards, and he talked about critical mass. i'll quote what he said because it's important to listen to, but, you know, he said, "i think we believe there's women who can meet the standards. the other part of the equation is in order to account for the safety and their success in those kinds of units, we have to have enough of them so that you know they have mentors and leaders above them. you know, you don't want one woman who meets the standard and put in another unit. the issue is not privacy. it's the ability of upward mobility and keep the command if she's one of one. we have to work the standards and the critical mass." i'm curious, and i know everyone has an opinion on critical mass, and while it's nice and there's targets and quotas and all of that, most of us have gone through as one of one, but what do you think about the idea, and what is the idea of one of one that sounds like evaluation
